Collaborative fiction usually stalls on coordination rather than on writing: one person is busy and the book waits, or two people write the same scene. Story Circle ties that coordination to a single rule. A book is made of chapters, and each chapter is written by one author. Any chapter not yet written is open, and the first person to start writing it is its only author for a writing window the book owner sets between 1 and 72 hours. If they submit, the chapter goes through automatic content review and is published on its own; if the time runs out, the chapter opens up again and their draft stays with them.

Books can be linear or branching. In branching books, several continuations can be written under one chapter, up to a limit the book owner sets; readers choose which path to follow, and one book can end in more than one place. The owner can also turn on a consecutive-author rule, so an author writes directly under their own chapter only after a waiting period. Authors keep the copyright in their chapters. The in-app currency, Story Coin (SC), is earned by publishing and reading and spent on setting up books or exporting a book as EPUB or PDF; SC can’t be bought. Story Circle is developed by Code2B, runs in English and Turkish, and is in closed testing on Google Play for Android, with the public release on November 1, 2026.

• If the writing time runs out, the chapter opens up again and the text written so far stays with its author as a draft.
• Every submitted chapter passes an automatic content review before publishing; a chapter that does not pass is not published.
• If the review cannot be completed, the chapter is not published; the system never defaults to publishing.
• A chapter that passes review is published on its own; it does not wait for a moderator to approve it.
• A book owner can choose to see submissions before they go live; if the owner does not look within 24 hours, the chapter is published anyway. This setting is off by default.
• The author of a flagged chapter sees the reason and can edit and resubmit or appeal the decision.
• In branching books, several continuations can be written under one chapter, up to a limit set by the book owner.
• In a branching book, readers choose their own path, and one book can have several endings.
• If the book owner turns on the consecutive-author rule, an author can write directly under their own chapter only after a waiting period (6 hours by default).
• Authors keep the copyright in the chapters they write; the platform receives only a non-exclusive license to publish, list and promote them.
• The in-app currency is Story Coin (SC). SC can’t be bought, has no real-money value and cannot be transferred.
• SC is earned by publishing chapters, signing in daily and reading, and spent on setting up a book, raising its chapter target, appreciating a chapter and exporting a book as EPUB or PDF.
• The app has tools for reporting chapters, comments, books and users, and for blocking users; reports are reviewed by platform moderators.
• When an account is deleted, its published chapters stay in the book with the author shown as “Deleted user”, so the chapters written after them are not left without a predecessor.
• The app is free to download and use, and it shows no ads.
• The app interface is in English and Turkish; the first and only platform is Android.
• Story Circle is developed by Code2B.

Typefaces. On this site, headings are set in Literata and body text in Manrope; in the app, headings use Baloo 2 and body text Figtree. All four are open-licensed (SIL Open Font License).
